Stylishly built and furnished (it was featured in the UK House and Garden magazine), Tangala sleeps eight and makes an ideal stay for a family holiday, coming fully serviced and staffed by Tongabezi Lodge.
Tangala House is a unique luxury home on the banks of the Zambezi river, overlooking the Zambezi National Park where you can see elephant from the kitchen window! It has stunning panoramic river views and faces west towards the sunset.
The master bedroom faces the Zambezi River and has a king size teak bed with sitting area and sofa, bathroom with large double bath set into railway sleepers, and shower. Bedroom II also faces the Zambezi River, and has a queen size four poster iron bed, with a walk-in bath and shower.
Bedroom III has a king-size teak bed, with walk in bathroom with large double bath and shower. Bedroom IV has twin beds and a bathroom across the passageway, with cast iron bath.
The veranda easily seats ten, and is open thatch with steps onto the lawn and towards the swimming pool and the terrace, which has a railway sleeper picnic table seating eight.
The main swimming pool is 11m x 5m, with an extra shallow area for children and bench seating. In front of the house is a grass lawn, which drops 1m to 20 m of wild riverene grassland and then to the Zambezi River. The house has 250m of private river frontage, with no properties on either side.
From Tangala you can explore the Zambezi by banana boat with your own professional guide who can take you walking on islands in the river, game viewing and bird watching. Or relax and have a "waitered" picnic lunch set up for you on your own Zambezi Island.
